Brief analysis: PP tube technical knowledge
There are various types of PP(Poly Propylene), which are:
1. PP-B(block copolymerization polypropylene) is also commonly known as hot melt pipe due to the use of dissolution technology in construction. As a result of its avirulent, qualitative light, withstand pressure, anticorrosive, making the material of a kind of promotion, but at present what decorate a project to choose still is less, generally speaking, this kind of material not only suits to use at cold water conduit, also suit to use at hot water conduit, even pure potable water conduit.
2. PP-C(modified copolymer polypropylene) pipe, the performance is basically the same as above.
3. PP-R(random copolymer polypropylene) pipe, the performance is basically the same as above.
PP-C (B) and PP-R are basically similar in physical characteristics, application range is basically the same, engineering can be used in substitution. The main difference is that PP-C (B) material has better low temperature brittleness resistance than PP-R. PP-R material has better high temperature resistance than PP-C (B). In practical application, PP-C (B) pipe is preferred when the temperature of liquid medium is ≤5℃. When the temperature of liquid medium ≥65℃, PP-R tube is preferred. When the temperature of liquid medium is between 5℃ and 65℃, the performance of PP-C (B) and PP-R is basically the same.
